This month, as you might have guessed from the header image, we are reading The Dispossessed, the 1974 utopian sci-fi novel by Ursula K. Le Guin. Le Guin was a pioneer of feminist science fiction and was an avowed critic of capitalism. For this book, she stated that her major influences were Pyotr Kropotkin (one of the biggest names in anarchist communism) and Murray Bookchin (he of ecosocioalism fame) so we’ll certainly have plenty to discuss!

Please join us on the last Monday of the month, February 25, 7pm, at S&S Artisan Pub and Cafe. Tell, and bring, your friends!

If you have problems getting a copy of The Dispossessed, just email nate@lawrencedsa.com and I can help you out there.
